I love you, Ezreal.

I just don’t get it! Am I not good enough for you?

I kick the dust on the ground hard as I watch you and Caitlyn chat away happily. The both of you are ALWAYS together. Why, Ezreal? Why won’t you take notice of me? Aren’t I good enough to be with you?

I’m one of the youngest, most sought after champions, just like you. A high ranking officer in Demacia, I don’t think I’m THAT bad looking either...

But then again, Caitlyn IS the well known sheriff of Piltover... Not to mention she has such a good figure and guys are all crawling at her feet... Ugh...

I’m just going to make myself more depressed at this rate. I took a last glance at the both of you laughing before I sighed and started walking away.

Here I am at the river we first met. I still remember it like it was yesterday. I was heavily injured after escaping from a heavy ambush from Noxian soldiers and was hiding by the river and then you appeared...

In every aspect you looked like the knight I always dreamed of that will take me away from all my responsibilities, my burdens in Demacia. I picked up my wand, cautious not to be deceived by appearances for I feared that you may be a Noxian in disguise but you just laughed and pushed my wand away from your face before lifting me up and carrying me away.

As we walked to your home in Piltover, I felt... so warm and safe in your arms, falling asleep halfway.

When I woke up, I was greeted by your gentle smile. “You are Luxanna Crownguard of Demacia, right?”

“How do yo- ow!” I winced a little as you tightened the bandage around my wound.

You grimaced a little, “bear with it, will ya? I’m Ezreal. You’re currently in my home in Piltover.”

“Wait, you’re Ezreal!?” The legendary explorer of Piltover was the same age as me? Amazing! “But you’re so young...”

“I get that a lot,” you chuckled. “I’ve informed Garen of your situation an-“

“LUXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX!”

“I think he’s here.”

My brother bursted into the room, destroying the door in an instant. Oh god... This is so embarrasing... “LUX, ARE YOU ALRIGHT!?” He shouted in my face, panting and his sweat dropped on my battle armor. Disgusted, I pushed him away a little.

“Yes, yes, I’m alright brother. Thanks to Ezreal over here.” I gave a weak smile to my fellow blond.

“Well,” he turned to Ezreal, “you have my eternal gratitude for saving my sister, Ezreal. We must be going Lux. Come, the carriage is waiting outside.”

What? We are leaving so fast? B-but.... I haven’t got to chat with Ezreal yet... Reluctantly, I got off the bed and struggled to the door. I accidentally walked into a chair and was about to fall when you caught me again and smiled. “Come on, I will help you there.” You lifted me up bridal style (while Garen gave a death glare) and carried me to the carriage. “I will see you again soon, alright?” You winked at me causing my cheek to glow all shades of red before heading back in your house.

Garen got on board and soon we were on our way back to Demacia. All the while I looked out of the window, thinking about how you saved me and wondering if you could hear the wind carrying my whispers, saying, thank you.

Ever since then, I’ve had a major crush on you. I always want to talk to you but I just couldn’t since Caitlyn was always around you. “I’m such a loser...” I sobbed a little while I kicked the water in the river a little.

“You seem a little down, do I have to carry you home again?”

My eyes widened. That voice... I turned my head around and no doubt, you were there, the sun shining down on you like a god. “Ezreal...”

“May I...?” You motioned at the spot beside me. I nodded and you took your place beside me. “You alright? It’s not like you to be crying...”
“Umm... yeah, just... Demacian stuff.”

“Come on Lux, don’t lie. No one can lie to me.”

Oh shit, no way I’m telling him the truth. “It’s nothing!”

“Lux...” I don’t get it.... Why is he being so concerned about me... “Just tell me?”

“I don’t get it.”

“Get what?”

I stood up, took and deep breath and started shouting. “YOU! I MEAN, COME ON. WHY SHOW SO MUCH CONCERN FOR ME WHEN YOU ALREADY HAVE CAITLYN!? STOP LEADING ME ON EZREAL. OH MY GOD YOUR DRIVE ME CRAZY. WHY WHY WHY DID I FALL FOR YO- oh.”

I immedietly covered my mouth with my hands, what the hell did I just say!!! You looked at me with an expression I couldn’t read... You must be horrified. Oh god, I have to run away now! Just as I started heading off, you held my hand and pulled me back into a deep embrace. I was... shocked.

“...Ezreal?” You knocked my forehead hard. “OW!”

“You idiot.... Caitlyn is like an older sister to me. The one I like is...” You turned me around to face you, “you.”

In that moment, I couldn’t breathe. Ezreal... did he just confessed to me? “Are you lying...?”

“No.”

Tears started streaming down my face as I hugged him back as tightly as I could. This is... too good to be true. “I-I really love you...”

You smiled before returning my hug again, burying your face in my hair.

“I love you too, Luxanna Crownguard.”

Short Story: By Chance - An EzrealxLux Story

I still remember the day we met like it was yesterday.

I was taking a casual walk in the woods, a break from my usual explorations. Soon, I came to a clearing and that’s when I saw you. You were sitting in the middle of the green meadow, reading a book in a white floral dress as birds sang near you, your blond hair flowing gently with the wind. Thinking back, I must have looked like a fool as I stared at you in awe.

Is such beauty really possible?

You looked like a goddess out of a painting with small flowers surrounding you. When you chuckled over something you read in the book, I ducked for cover behind a tree, afraid you might spot me. I spent the next hour just... staring at your beauty.

Man, I’m such a creep.

All of a sudden, a sensation overwhelmed me and a voice filled my head. “Ezreal, the Prodigal Explorer,” he began, “you are required on the Fields of Justice.” When the sensation disappeared, I immediately looked back at the spot where you sat only to find you gone. Sighing, I started teleporting to the Fields of Justice.

When I opened my eyes at the fountain, a familiar shade of yellow greeted me by my side. You stared at me with your curious blue eyes and smiled. “Hi, I’m Lux!” Out of your white dress, you donned silver battle armor. That did not matter as you still looked stunning. “Come on, let’s hurry to bottom lane. The minions are spawning soon.”

“R-Right.” I nodded and followed you.

“What’s your name?” you asked as we ran towards the first turret. I don’t know what is it about your eyes but I felt so lost in your gaze.

“Ezreal.”

----------------------

I watched as you waltz around the battlefield, controlling the enemies with your snares and slows while shielding us from harm. You even stole Baron from them with your lazer as my ultimate was on cool down from stealing dragon. You were always there to back the team up and you even gave me all the farm, allowing me to acquire all my items. Soon, victory was secured for our team as the enemy nexus exploded in glorious blue flames.

Amidst all the cheering and praising, our teammates said their goodbyes and teleported back to their origins. As Ahri faded away, she winked at us mischievously. “You two look cute together.”

We looked at each other awkwardly, our cheeks a little red before breaking out into laughter. “Silly Ahri,” you laughed, as I settled beside you on the fountain steps. “Not heading back yet?

“Nah,” I stretched a little, “I’ve got time to spare. It’s actually nice to relax here after a match.”

“Really? That’s great! We didn’t get to talk much with all that fighting. I probably should introduce myself properly.” You stood up before me, patting the back of your skirt to get the dust off and stuck your hand out towards me. “I’m Luxanna Crownguard of Demacia. Pleased to make your acquaintance!”

I hesitated a little before grabbing your hand. “Ezreal, from Piltover.”

We spent the next few hours sitting there and chatting about... well... everything. From my adventures to your raids. From the stories of how overprotective your brother is to how I lost my family. It wasn’t a topic I liked to touch but... I just felt so comfortable around you. Soon, darkness came and you had to head home.

“Garen must be running around Demacia screaming my name now.” You sighed and got up. Blue circles surrounded you as you headed for Demacia. “I’ll see you again, right?” You looked at me with what seemed like sadness in your eyes.

“Yeah.” And you were gone.

I stood up and placed a hand on the purple nexus before the blue circles surrounded me. “One day, we will meet again on the Fields of Justice.”

It’s been 2 months since that day and I’ve yet to run into you. Frankly, it’s driving me crazy. Should I go visit you in Demacia? I really miss you...

I sighed as I was brought to the Fields of Justice once again.
“Hey.”

I widened my eyes. That voice... it can’t be. I turned around and there you were.

“L-Lux...”

“It’s been awhile, Ezreal.” You smiled shyly and tucked your hair behind your ear. “Ready to kick some ass?”

When I finally came back to reality, I smirked, tightening my gloves. “Sounds dangerous... I'm in!" As we rushed towards bottom lane, I smiled, looking at you.

One day, we will meet again on the Fields of Justice.

Ahri, The Nine-Tailed Fox

For as long as I remember, I have been stuck in this form.

My name is Ahri and I am a fox. We foxes are a peaceful race, spending our days prancing around the green meadows and interacting with the humans. Just based on that sentence alone, you could tell that life as a fox was extremely mundane. Based on first glances, you won't be able to tell me apart from the many other foxes that roam the lands of southern Ionia.

However, I know better.

Deep within my heart, there is always this strange.. voice, something calling out to me, telling me that I was meant for more. Did I really belong in this... form? As I explore the lands with my fellow foxes, I always felt... out of place. As if something in me is incomplete...

But then that day came.

It was an ordinary day. I woke up with a strange feeling in my chest and couldn't go back to sleep. It was night time and the stars were up high so I decided to take a walk in the fields of Ionia. As I went closer to the mountains, what was supposed to be a beautiful night view turned into an image of horror.

Fallen soldiers were everywhere, bathing in their own pool of blood. I stumbled across a thorn flag on the ground that had the crest of Ionia on it. Who could have done this...?

As I continued walking deeper into what once was a battlefield, I felt... drawn towards a certain direction.

In the depths of what seemed like eternal darkness, a single field of light remained. In it, was a robed man who I could tell was breathing his last breaths. Cautiously, I approached him, slowly reaching out into the magical field around him. I placed my hand on top of the blue orb that glowed brilliantly in his hands.

And then it happened.

I was surrounded by light, lifted off the ground, as I felt an overwhelming magical presence from the orb enter me. What I saw during this transformation was the life of this man. What I felt.... sadness. Because of the wife he is leaving behind and the child who is waiting for him at home.

I blacked out.

When I woke up, I felt different. I was confused at first but soon noticed that I had... human legs? I stood up and rushed over to the nearby river and what I saw was no longer the reflection of a fox, but that, of a human.

I jumped into the air for joy as I began dancing around the bloody battlefield with my new found body but soon, the footsteps of heavy armor approached. I had to get out of that place immediately if not... they might deny me of this body.

So I fled.

Along with this new form of mine, I found another gift, beauty. I used it to adapt to the human society, conning innocent man of their money before taking away their life essence which was necessary for my survival, the Life Essence orb being my weapon, protecting me.If I was still a fox, I would have felt absolutely nothing, but soon, human emotions replaced that.

I felt guilt. Guilt for the deaths of innocent men. Perhaps, this is the price to pay for this new form?

I had to find a way to stop my actions and soon I found myself at the door steps of the Institute of War, home to some of the most gifted mages on Runeterra. I have heard... terrible stories of this place. Behind the goals of a peaceful future lies the dark secrets that are hidden from the public. Even in Ionia, I heard stories of brave champions from all over the land including Ionia's very own Irelia.

"What you seek, is inside."

"W-who was that!?" I looked around, startled, taking out my orb in preparation for a fight.

A old man came out from behind the trees, his smile a gentle one. He was wearing the same purple the guy who gave me this form died in....

"What you seek is inside."

My ears perked at that sentence. What I seek? Ways to keep this form without having to harm anyone at all? Is that... is that really possible?

"But, there is a price. To help you achieve what you want, you must be a fighter, a slave, a champion.... to the League." He walked passed me and stopped in front of the gates, looking back at me as the grand doors open revealing endless darkness. Just looking at it brought chills to my spine. "Should you wish to stop harming the innocent, join us." With that, he disappeared into the shadows as the doors remain open.

Mixed feelings, that of fear, sadness and many more came to me all at once. However, one emotion dominated them all and affirmed my decision. That of guilt. I stood up straight and followed what I would now call a 'summoner' into the Institute of War.

That's how I, Ahri, became a champion of the League of Legends.

Introduction

So yeah, this is a small project that I am starting for myself! Basically, what I'm going to do here is more like... an expansion of the current lores of the champions I guess? Basically a more complete story to their lore. When I'm done writing for all the champions I might even continue it... Ah who knows!

WARNING: I'm not a good writer so forgive my terrible story telling skills....
